About my compositions

Evan’s primary compositional focus is writing works for saxophone which strive to utilize the full sonic palette of the instrument while maintaining a compositional aesthetic that is accessible to a broad audience. He began to compose as part of his jazz training, studying for several years under Patty Darling, but quickly became interested in composing in the classical idiom as well and studied classical composition with Dr. Robert Kyr.
